WarpExit compared with TrustMRR

TrustMRR is a public database of startup revenue, read from payment providers like Stripe, with a marketplace on top. It is a great way to prove your revenue in public and get discovered. WarpExit is the opposite shape: nothing is public, and each buyer you invite signs an NDA before seeing numbers that go past revenue.

The short version

TrustMRR shows your revenue to everyone. WarpExit shows your revenue, cash and files to the few buyers you choose, after they sign, and shows you what each of them read.

What it isA private deal room for one sale, one link per buyer.A public leaderboard of startup revenue read from payment providers, with startups listed for sale.
Finding buyersWarpExit does not find buyers for you. They come from anywhere: a marketplace listing, Twitter DMs, email, a broker. Send each one their own link; tire-kickers stop at the NDA instead of taking a call.Listings are public and browsable, and buyers contact sellers from the listing.
Who sees your numbersPrivate by default. Anyone with a link sees only the teaser you write; numbers and files stay behind that buyer's signed NDA. Nothing is listed or indexed.Public by default. Anonymous mode hides who you are, but revenue metrics stay public, per its FAQ.
Where numbers come fromLive, read-only connections to Stripe, RevenueCat and Mercury. Statements from any other bank, traffic screenshots and other files are uploads. Every number is labelled with where it came from: Live from Stripe, RevenueCat or Mercury with the last sync time, or Uploaded by seller with the date. Bank deposits are included, not just revenue.Revenue from payment providers such as Stripe, checked regularly: total revenue, last 30 days, MRR, customers and subscriptions. Its FAQ says it reads only aggregate revenue metrics.
NDAEach buyer confirms their email and signs the NDA in the page before seeing anything beyond the teaser. The signed copy is stored against that buyer. An optional mutual NDA either side can start after an offer and before an LOI. It carves out the public listing data.
Staged disclosurePer buyer: 1 teaser, 2 NDA signed, 3 LOI signed. Customer names and bank statements stay locked until you mark the buyer LOI signed.Public metrics first; anything more is shared between buyer and seller directly.
Buyer activityPer buyer: which sections and files they opened, and for how long. You see buyers who message you or save your startup.
Fee modelA flat monthly or annual plan, paid by the seller. No share of the sale price. Buyers never pay.A listing plan plus a closing fee split between buyer and seller, plus escrow fees. See TrustMRR for current rates.

What TrustMRR does well

  • Public proof. A revenue badge anyone can check, which is also good marketing while you build.
  • Discovery. A lot of people browse it, so a listing gets seen.
  • Low friction and a low closing fee compared with most marketplaces.

When TrustMRR is the better choice

  • You are happy for your revenue to be public and want the attention that brings.
  • The deal is small and simple, and revenue is all a buyer needs to see.
  • If you met a buyer through a marketplace, that marketplace's terms and closing fee still apply to the deal. WarpExit only changes where the buyer reads your numbers.

Where WarpExit is different

Numbers come from the source, and say so
Sellers connect Stripe with a read-only restricted key, RevenueCat with a read-only v2 secret key, and Mercury with a read-only token. Statements from any other bank, and everything else, are uploads. Every figure is labelled Live from Stripe, RevenueCat or Mercury with its last sync time, or Uploaded by seller with the date. Buyers can tell what came from where at a glance.
Disclosure follows the deal
Each buyer moves through three stages: the teaser, then everything covered by the NDA once they sign it, then customer names and bank statements once you mark their LOI signed. You never have to rebuild folders or permissions to keep a new buyer away from sensitive data.
One NDA per buyer, signed in the page
The buyer confirms their email and signs before seeing anything past the teaser. You get a record of who signed, when, and exactly what they looked at afterwards.
Payouts reconciled with deposits
Stripe payouts are matched to bank deposits, from Mercury or uploaded statements, by exact amount within 3 business days. Unmatched items show your explanation as a Seller note, which answers one of the first questions a careful buyer asks.

One plan per room: $39/month, or $79/month at $10k MRR and above. Build your room free and pay when you send your first buyer link. See pricing.
